Corporate Social Responsibility
Higos is a very active company when it comes to getting involved in the local community and raising money for charity. Over the past three years we have donated approximately £15,000 to local charities, including Bristol Children's Hospital, St Margaret's Somerset Hospice, Brainwave, the Somerton Surgery and the Glastonbury Centre, as well as several national charities such as Cancer Research UK, Marie Curie Care, BBC Children in Need and the Tsunami Appeal.At Higos we feel it is important to encourage local youngsters to lead an active lifestyle and we are committed to encouraging local sporting talent through sponsorship and support. We are the official sponsors of Somerton FC Under Twelve's team, we have sponsored Great Britain International Fencer, James Huntley, and we have been the official sponsors of the Somerset Under Twelve's County Rugby Championships tournament.
We have a strong local presence with a workforce that is both young and vibrant. We currently employ over 180 people in our offices in Wells, Somerton and at our local branches making us one of the largest employers in the region.
