Lo-Cost Insurance Services was started by Richard Bullen in 1980, who had worked for many years previously with Eagle Star Insurance.The Lo-Cost Insurance branch was opened incorporating an estate agency, to help generate more custom, but it soon became evident that there was a much higher demand for just the insurance side of the business. The estate agents side of the business ended in 1985.
From the beginning and continuing now, the approach of providing quality insurance at the most competitive price has gone from strength to strength. The branch has not only kept loyal customers, but also loyal staff and many of them have been at Lo-Cost from when it first opened. The business has developed a wide cross-section of commercial and private clients ranging from medium sized companies to people insuring their first home.
There have been considerable changes in the way insurance products are delivered so by passing the business to Higos Insurance Services Ltd, who share the same customer focused philosophy whilst having the large company access to the latest technology and special schemes with Insurers will enhance Lo-Cost customer benefits, whilst retaining the same friendly personal touch.
