Higos Insurance Services Ltd acquired Kennet Insurance Brokers in 2008.Kennet Insurance Brokers began in 1979 in Devizes. In 1987 the business was run by three partners who all came from composite Insurer backgrounds with a working knowledge as well as transacting Life, Mortgage, Investment and Pension business.
In August 1989 Kennet Insurance Brokers bought DMS Insurance in Corsham also taking on a Halifax Agency and in August 1999 Kennet acquired another well-established firm and moved into the premises in Calne, building the Kennet empire to three high street branches.
Current proprietor, John Garland says that having a presence in these three Market Towns; Devizes, Corsham and Calne for 25+ years makes him feel that he is “providing that much needed service to the local community”.
Kennet always pride themselves on being a 'local high street' broker. They have quality staff that are highly skilled and look after the clients' interests and customer service is of the utmost importance. It has always been important to Kennet to join forces with a firm who have the same values as they hold and Higos in their opinion were that firm.
