Higos Insurance Services is delighted to announce raising £5,155.22 over the course of a three month challenge for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW), who have been the Higos Charity of the Year for 2016.
The challenge, which is backed by Dragon’s Den investor and businesswoman Deborah Meaden, involves starting off with £50 cash fund and raising as much as possible for Children’s Hospice South West within a three month timeframe.
Six teams took part in the challenge from Higos’ Bideford, Bridgwater, Bridport, Langport, Somerton and Yeovil offices from August to November.
Various activities took place from raffles, cycling, sky dives, bingo nights and sausage eating competitions to staff members volunteering to being placed in stocks and getting soaked in a wet sponge throwing day.
Flick Franks of the Higos Community Fund commented “We are delighted with the amount raised and how eager staff were to put in so much of their free time to supporting this fantastic cause.”
Naomi Dymond from Children’s Hospice South West commented “On behalf of everyone at Children’s Hospice South West, thank you so much to all of the Higos teams across the South West, for a really wonderful and fun year of fundraising. This really is such a fantastic amount from the challenge, thank you!”
