What is Professional Risks insurance?
It is a policy or group of policies usually purchased by businesses, to cover their potential professional liabilities, such as;
- Professional Indemnity (sometimes called "Errors and Omissions" cover) which covers a professional mistake, error, omission or delay
- Directors & Officers Liability which covers a company for breaches of company law
- Legal Indemnities (where, for example, there is a doubt about the legal ownership of a property; or (if land is to be developed) there are potential restrictions on the use of the land).
- Architects, solicitors and accountants are compelled by their professional bodies to take-out professional indemnity cover, but more and more we are advising people in many professions - I T and Management consultants, safety advisers, advertising agencies and public relations consultants, publishers and surveyors are but a few of our clients.
