Higos do Something Funny for MoneyMonday 30th March 2009

Higos Insurance Services raised a fantastic £1,129.00 for Comic Relief on Red Nose Day 2009!

The workforce at Higos raised this total combining a working day with various humorous activities. Staff raised money by dressing up for the day, fasting, quizzes, leg waxing and cake stalls.

The highlights of the day included Training Officer Clive Wyatt dressing up as Robin Hood, complete with green tights which raised £270 in sponsorship, Insurance Clerk Chris Samuels shaving his head and painting it red which raised over £150 and a novel ‘Win a Day Off Work’ raffle which raised over £100. A member of staff even donated a percentage of their winnings from a day at the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Pamela Evans, Higos Charity Committee member said, “Red Nose Day was a fantastic experience and it was great to see so much enthusiasm and effort from everyone in the company. I am so pleased we managed to raise such a huge amount for a great cause.”

Higos is a very active company when it comes to getting involved in the local community and raising money for charity. Over the past three years Higos have donated approximately £15,000 to local charities.
