Higos Staff Achieve Chartered StatusMonday 17th January 2011
Two Higos Insurance Services employees, Kate Reilly and Sarah Neale, have achieved the Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII), which will confer Chartered status on them. They are the first Higos staff to achieve this level of qualification whilst at the company and their achievement reflects the commitment of Higos to invest in the professional training and development of its people.
Higos HR Director Julian Unthank said: “The Advanced Diploma is one of the highest qualifications achievable in the industry, endowing the much sort after chartered status from the Chartered Insurance Institute, and requires ongoing commitment and determination in order to achieve it. We are delighted for Kate and Sarah, who have been continuously studying for eight and ten years respectively to gain the qualification.”
Julian added: “At Higos we believe it is only through investing in our people we can achieve the highest levels of broking professionalism and ensure we are able to offer the best insurance service and advice to our customers. “Which is why, for over 20 years, Higos has consistently emphasised the importance of gaining formal qualifications and we have encouraged our employees to pass the CII exams. In this, we have set a standard unrivalled throughout the industry.”
Sarah Neale said: “It has taken a lot of hard work and studying on a variety of complex subjects, such as high level liability and technical studies. My next aim is to use my experience and knowledge to assist my staff in obtaining this level of qualification.”
Kate Reilly added: “Studying for this qualification has given me a far better overview and increased understanding of the world of insurance. “Both Sarah and I are grateful to Higos for the support and training which has enabled us to achieve this qualification.”
