Higos Recruits New Trainees to Support ExpansionFriday 26th July 2013
Higos Insurance Services has taken on 12 new trainees as we continue with our expansion plans. The new recruits will be trained in personal lines and commercial lines insurance and have spent one month in intensive classroom training.
Ian Gosden, Managing Director of Higos Insurance Services said “We are thrilled to have taken on more trainees, who will support the growth of our personal lines and commercial lines business. Our training programme, which encompasses both formal training and ‘on the job’ experience, will make sure they have the right learning they need to develop their skills in the workplace. Training programmes offer a great way for young people to forge a career in insurance and for us to secure the talent we need.”
Following their one-month induction, trainees have commenced their ‘supported’ studies towards achieving the Certificate in Insurance qualification, ensuring Higos offers its customers staff who are knowledgeable, experienced and qualified to discuss their insurance needs with them. Having completed the Certificate qualification, trainees are given the opportunity to complete the Diploma in Insurance.
Ian continued “We have found the programme to be very popular with new staff, starting a new career within the insurance industry. Our reputation is such that people are aware of what we offer and there is demand for the vacancies.”
Higos has taken on 65 new trainees over the past three years as we continue to expand our business – we currently have twenty branches located throughout the South West and are on track to reach fifty branches by 2018.
