The 2014 Somerset Business AwardsTuesday 21st October 2014

The 2014 Somerset Business Awards took place at Westland’s Conference Centre, Yeovil on Friday 17th October.  Over 350 representatives from Somerset based businesses attended the black tie ceremony to celebrate business excellence and to hear the 2014 Somerset Business Awards winners announced.

2014 is the 10th anniversary since the Somerset Business Awards began.  Rupert Cox, CEO of the Somerset Chamber of Commerce, opened the evening by congratulating the finalists. “The Somerset Business Awards is now in its tenth year and I am very proud to be a part of it. It is an honour to celebrate such outstanding businesses in Somerset.  To the finalists, you’re all winners and should be incredibly proud of your achievements” said Cox.

Higos Insurance Services were delighted to once again sponsor the Business of the Year (51+ staff) category.  All entrants within this category were established, successful businesses and the decision to name the finalists, let alone the winner, was a very tough one.  Wyke Farms, the cheese manufacturer based in Wyke Champflower, Nr Bruton were named as the winners.  Property Consortium and Somerset County Cricket Club were the finalists in the category.
