Children’s Hospice South West have won LV= Brokers’ BIG HEART Charity Giveaway receiving a brand new bespoke minibus, following their nomination from Higos Insurance Services.
LV= Brokers’ BIG HEART Charity Giveaway allows its insurance brokers the chance to nominate and vote for a local charity to win a brand new minibus.
LV= invited all its broker partners to nominate a local charity that they felt deserved to win LV= Brokers’ BIG HEART Charity Giveaway and Higos chose to nominate Children’s Hospice South West. After the vote took place, 4 UK charities were shortlisted.
Children’s Hospice South West was chosen through an online vote by the LV= broker partners as winners of the specially designed minibus, which offers the ability to accommodate for more families with far less restrictions.
CHSW provides respite care and support for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West. With the aid of a new bespoke minibus, they can continue their fantastic work and organise more excursions with greater accessibility for those that previously wouldn’t have been able to partake due to restrictions on their current vehicles.
LV= Broker Managing Director, Mike Crane, delivered the minibus to Charlton Farm Hospice near Bristol last week, one of three South West hospices ran by CHSW. Simon Bird, Head of Fundraising for CHSW, received the keys from Mike and representatives from Higos attended the handover in support of the charity.
Kate Fisher, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at CHSW, told LV= “the minibus will make a huge difference to our children and their families; helping us make the most of short and precious lives by enabling children to enjoy outings and create special memories. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who voted for CHSW to be the recipient of this vehicle.”
CHSW will use the minibus to plan more family orientated day trips and ensure more children and their families are able to attend.
