Higos attend the official opening of The Rainbow Room at Yeovil District HospitalWednesday 14th November 2018
Last week members of The Higos Community Fund were delighted to attend the official opening of The Rainbow Room at Yeovil District Hospital. The room is a place for children who are having Cancer and Leukaemia treatments, as well as their families. They are confined to one room with an ensuite during their stay, this could last from a day to a number of weeks.
In July 2016 The Higos Community Fund donated £2,000 towards this project to create a more homely environment for the children and families confined to these rooms.
Nicky Halford, Founder of Time is Precious commented “We would like to thank Higos Insurance Services for such an amazing donation. Time Is Precious, is a totally voluntary run charity, helping to improve our local hospitals environment to create a more relaxing atmosphere, to make time in hospital for children and their families little easier, by supplying equipment and refurbishing rooms.”
Emily Wright of the Higos Community Fund commented “It was an honour to attend the official opening of The Rainbow Room. It was a wonderful feeling to see our donation brought to life in the incredible space which will hopefully make the lives of the children who use it a little brighter. Thank you to Time is Precious for inviting us to the opening of this fantastic room, seeing these results makes me so proud of the work The Higos Community Fund is able to accomplish in our local communities.”
