Higos Insurance Services supports Youth Adventure TrustThursday 15th November 2018
Higos Insurance Services has donated £280 to Youth Adventure Trust, a charity who transform the lives of vulnerable young people using the power of the outdoors.
Their three year programme for 11-16 year olds combines outdoor adventure with ongoing support from thier skilled team over three residential activity camps and eight activity days. Over the three year programme, these youngsters build resilience and develop the hope, confidence and skills to face the challenges in their daily lives, like bullying, mental health issues, chaotic home lives, poverty, or living in care to name a few.
The money the Higos Community Fund has donated will go towards sending a young person to a Coastal Camp, where the children learn to work in a team, learn new skills and challenge themselves to a new environment.
Philippa Cox, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Youth Adventure Trust commented “At the coastal camp the young people learn new skills such as paddle boarding, kayaking and raft building, but more importantly they build their confidence and hope for their future. Thank you to the Higos Community Fund for making this possible”
Matthew Jones, Chairman of the Higos Community Fund added, “We are so pleased we have been able to donate to such an amazing local charity who help the young people in the Wiltshire and Swindon areas to aspire to a better future. Good luck to all the children on the Coastal Trip, we hope you have an amazing time and feel the benefits from such a lovely opportunity.”
