Almost 400 inspiring business people attended this year’s Somerset Business Awards on Friday 20 October to celebrate the amazing achievements of businesses across Somerset.

BBC news presenter and TV personality Alex Lovell hosted the awards at the annual ceremony held at Wellsprings Leisure Centre in Taunton. Each of the 14 awards was announced by their sponsors and the winners were invited to the stage to collect their award and make a short speech.

Neil Wyatt, Head of Marketing at Higos, presented the award for Business of the Year 51+ Employees with Norseland Ltd being crowned the winners. Neil commented “Higos is delighted to sponsor this award for the seventh year.  I had the tremendous honour of once again judging this category and, as always, this was another very tough year for judging, with a number of elite Somerset businesses entering the category. This award again highlighted the tremendous variety of businesses which exist in the county and all three of the finalists are fine examples of Somerset business at its best.”
